Hope for Haiti Relief Telethon & Concert with major celebrity endorsement
HOPE FOR HAITI
So there is a lot of anticipation surrounding the telethon airing tonight in an effort to raise awareness and allow for donations to flow to support Haiti relief for victims of the recent earthquakes. It's been almost 2 weeks since the devastating 7.0 massive earthquake and relating aftershocks occurred, and tonight in a live broadcast, industry insiders and celebrities are donating time and money to help the people of the region. As of this second, it was just reported that a 22-year-old man was pulled from earthquake debris in Port-au-Prince during a second rescue on 10th day after earthquake. Wow!
Along with the recent attention to Haiti, I just hope that we all realize that there's been an unusual amount of natural disasters including earthquakes and volcano eruptions taking place since the beginning of the year. How could I not post again about the walking train wreck that is Shauna Sand in her infamous lucite stripper heels? I saw the link over at DListed and couldn't help but to share the craziness that is more known for being the ex-wife of Lorenzo Lamas. This is what she says about her pole dancing kickers:
"I've been walking in them for so long. I was a ballerina, so my balance is amazing and I'm used to being on my toes in point shoes. But I also think my stilettos are quite deceiving because they're so comfortable. I have three daughters, who are almost nine, 10 and 12 and even when my kids were like, two, they were able to walk in the stilettos. They're really not that high because they have a platform so once you get used to them, they're so easy to walk in. [Wearing stilettos] is like exercising without exercising. I need to first start off by saying that I've been trying to find this man's lastest hit "Take Home" since forever after I heard it on the Kenny Burns show a while back. I think this is one of the hottest tracks that I've heard in quite some time because it makes you just want to relax and kick back. The song "Take Home" features recording artists Uptown XO and Raheem Devaughn and it's working it's way through the urban air waves to be released on his new album "One. One. Ten" later this year.
So after doing a little digging around to find the artist's information and where to get the song, I just finally downloaded the track to my ipod (thanks Limewire). Octomom keeps her Priorities Straight
Even though I admire her for the strength and patience it takes to have multiple children and raise them during their most formative years, I can't help but "side eye" miss Nadya Suleman these days. If she is not famewhoring it up in her local gym only to get her membership paid off, she is posing in front of the cameras showing off her post-baby bod. Now I do agree that she does look pretty darn great to have more kids than I have fingers on my hands (she actually has 14), I must ask the million dollar question. Who's watching the babies?!?!?!?!?!? Come on sweetheart. She should be focusing on making sure no more babies "fall" up the stairs in her home. OFF RANT! Superbowl Parties Spotted
Well even though I didn't get my playoff wish this year, it doesn't mean that I can't celebrate at this year's Superbowl. The place to be is in Miami and there will be (literally) tons of parties full of freshly sun tanned bodies, millionaires and people with Patron on their minds.

NFL Draft and Springtime Picks
The NFL Draft will start in primetime for the first time in 2010. The first round will be held this upcoming spring on Thursday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. ET. Rounds 4-7 will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The entire NFL Draft will be televised by NFL Network and ESPN. The league announced today that 53 players (soon-to-be ballers) were granted special elligibility for the upcoming draft. I must admit, that as the years have gone on, I've become more and more a fan of hers but initially thought she looked a bit "too grown" when she first came out at 15, but that's just me. She can sing and is driven and is a loving mother of two, so at the end of the day that's all that matters.

Chatter about Halle Berry's newest fragrance "Pure Orchid" is buzzing around the blogosphere. She will initially launch her second perfume this February within the US and Latin America and a month later to Europe and Australia. The company behind her new project has marketed sensuous scents of jungle cactus flower, blackberry creme and tonka bean.

War of Roses: Simon and Tamera - RHOOC
You know, I don't get Tamera and Simon Barney anymore or maybe I never did. It's no surprise that shortly after announcing her concerns on her marriage survivalbility during a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, her shadow and husband, Simon made it known that he was in the process of petitioning their divorce (see here). Now he's crying the blues about his family's business being put in the streets. I can only "side-eye" his intentions because HE was the one who ultimately agreed to have his family's business told to the world when they first signed on for the show (remember Simon, Tamera can't make a decision without you approving first). Now he's threatening Bravo producers to let them breath and back the hell off but could there be more to this story? What nerve!!! Maybe he's working on damage control due to those infidelity claims he made against his wife last week; I'm sure he's hoping that it dies down. As reported by Radar Online, "Simon says" (no pun intended):
"Hopefully Andy Cohen and Bravo will have some class and dignity and not use my wife and family for ratings.....This is a private matter and should be discussed in a court of law, not on a reality show,” Simon continued. “My entire family and especially my children have paid a very dear price for the success of Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County. If they choose to exploit my family at this difficult time, it would be disgusting"
First Tamera's son was on Simon's shyt list and now so is she and an entire cable network who once employed him and his family. Times are hard so if I were him, I would seriously rethink biting from the hand that literally feeds you. I don't think it's fair for him to cry foul now that things have become too real for realilty televison.
Breaking up is hard to do and I kind of feel bad for Tamera only because you can see that she was trying to work on herself (and that did include daily shopping excursions) on this past season of the show. I can only be led to believe that she was projecting her lack of independence, relationship woes and financial unstability a little bit on Grecthen's new independence and sudden wealth. Karma is something else. Let's hope they work this out.

I happened to catch a tweet and saw information that former cutie and boy-bander (98 Degrees), Jeff Timmons is on the comeback. I hope that his single "Emotional High" which can be heard on his myspace page (released in Dec '09) gives him the edge he needs in 2010 to jumpstart his music career once again. So I had a buddy of mine rant and rave about this hotel in Chicago called "Hotel Felix" and wanted to share it as a hotel to check out. I know that times aren't necessarily the best for some out there, but for those who still can travel I offer this glismpes of luxury to you. It is suppose to be one of the newest "green" hotels in the country and has many guests asking for more. A video has now surfaced so that all of the flyy chicks in all of the grand US of A can hope wish and pray to someday travel down to the peach state to have their nails bedazzled.
